Lucy’s wedding morning South Farm
“Our hair lasted all night and we had so many compliments!”
Lucy’s wedding morning prep wasn’t completed in one room – she began getting ready in the barn at South farm before moving to the bridal suite later in the day. Because we planned it together in advance, that never once felt chaotic – it felt calm and easy.
Before the day, we mapped out the best plan: when to start prep, the order of styling, exactly when to move rooms, and how to include every bridesmaid. On the morning itself, we began by prepping and curling Lucy’s hair, then cutting and shaping her face framing pieces before her makeup so her hair would fall softly once her look was finished.
While Lucy relaxed in her makeup chair with Erin, I finished styling the bridesmaids. By the time Lucy sat back down to complete her final look, everything was exactly where it needed to be – nothing rushed, nothing missing, just calm laughter and champagne in hand.
Beautiful hair matters but a smooth planned morning matters just as much. That’s the part brides tell me they most remember – not becasue it was perfectly styled ( though Lucy’s hair did stay flawless from her first photo to her last dance ) but becasue the pace of the morning felt effortless, organised, and hers.
If your morning has moving parts like this – moving locations, mixed styling times, lots of people – I’ll plan it with you so it feels seamless, calm, amd enjoyable.
“From initial communication, to my bridal preview, to the wedding day, Katrina was nothing but professional, kind, calm and just exacty what every bride needs in the lead up to her wedding!”
